Modern connectivity

Modern connectivity

Mobility and connectivity anywhere are core tenets of life today, from consumer, employee, and enterprise perspectives. Whatever the use case, Insight can lead your wireless broadband initiatives from strategy and design through installation and management.

Demand, expand

The revolution of wireless technologies and cellular connectivity has been relatively paced, but with each new major development, entire worlds of possibility are created.

Today, organizations can leverage a wide range of wireless solutions and approaches to meet emergent needs and set the stage for tomorrow’s innovation.

  • CBRS, or private LTE, networks for reliable performance and security indoors or out
  • Private or public Wi-Fi networks dedicated to specific populations, from geographic areas to branch locations
  • Mobile and portable stand-up networks that rely on alternative energy to deliver temporary connectivity

Insight is a trusted partner helping organizations across industries — government, education, manufacturing, oil and gas, sporting and events, retail, financial services, and beyond — build and support wireless networks that meet key requirements and enable business outcomes.

An unforgettable story

Hidalgo County is a vibrant community in south Texas of more than 850,000 residents. With nearly one-third of families living below the poverty line, the county has experienced the impacts of the pandemic especially hard.

Insight was selected to support the county with a solution for free public Wi-Fi that would deliver critical connectivity to rural and low-income students, families, and teleworkers. Watch the video to learn more and read the case study here.

About CBRS networks

Citizen Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), also known as private LTE, is a relatively new way to connect that operates in a different frequency range than does Wi-Fi. It was approved and is governed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

A few key points:

  • CBRS is designed for private use for enterprise networking and can either replace or complement an existing Wi-Fi network.
  • Secure by nature, CBRS leverages encrypted channels that require registered SIM cards for access.
  • CBRS offers a reduction in cells, thus can be an ideal alternative to Wi-Fi networks that would require dozens of access points to deliver optimal quality of service with minimal roaming.
  • Administrators have the option of spectrum slicing, or segmenting, CBRS networks to further enhance security and ensure performance across different devices and users on the network.

Insight can help you determine whether CBRS is right for your organization, and support you in designing, implementing, and managing a CBRS network.

Migrate to Wi-Fi 6.

The newest standard from the Wi-Fi Alliance, Wi-Fi 6 provides critical capabilities that enterprises need to compete in today’s fast-paced business environment. It’s designed to deliver quality connectivity in locations with hundreds or thousands of connected devices, as well as corporate networks that use time-sensitive, high-bandwidth applications. Plan your migration with these resources.

Wireless anywhere

It’s not always feasible to install permanent network infrastructure. With Insight Solar Network Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) solutions, connectivity is available whenever and wherever it’s needed.

These ruggedized and highly customizable units are built to suit your specific needs and objectives, using industry-leading components and fabrication processes. Other clients have leveraged RDU solutions to support disaster response efforts, community events, outdoor medical testing or vaccination clinics, and more.
